Yeah, I’ve been gone for a while. Well not gone, just not here!
Now we all know Kobe Bryant can’t rap, but he can play basketball. I really don’t like him that much, but I like Lil’ Wayne and I think this song is hottt.
I am looking forward to Lil’ Waynes new album dropping over the summer.
BTW, I haven’t liked any of the Rolling Stone covers lately… Green Day… then Lady Gaga…. Blah! I’m hoping for a Kanye one next? Lmao. Just kidding. Incubus? Nah. We will see!
“Video was shot on Tuesday April 07, 2009 at Augusta National Golf Course (The Masters) during Tuesday’s practice round on hole 16 (170 yard Par 3 Redbud) which is played entirely over water. After players hit their approach shot, they are persuaded (rather loudly) by the crowd to skip a ball over the pond onto the green , much like you would skip a rock over water, but they are using a club and a golf ball. It just so happen today that Vijay Singh skips a ball over the water and into the hole in a single shot (25 seconds in).”
I think that is pretty crazy.
So, in order for me to afford my sneakers, I won’t be able to buy groceries for 3 or 4 weeks and I can’t buy any music or clothes either. Only thing I can really spend my money on is gas to drive to Orlando for Easter so I can steal food from my parents and any necessary spending in Phoenix when I go. I also had to put my NetFlix account on hold until July. Is eating beans out of a can for a month worth it? Yes. I’m going to do it Rorschach style. Haha. I got this. Usually if I get tempted to buy something I don’t need, I can convince myself it’s okay if I buy it, but now I think “Yeezy’s $$$” and the temptation flees me. Ha. The other thing that makes it worse is that I won’t be working at all while I’m in Phoenix, so that cuts my paycheck in half and I will be spending money on top of that. Ugh. Oh, I also need to pay for my U2 ticket too. Blah!
Exactly 6 months from today I will be seeing U2 at Raymond James Stadium. Damn, so much is going to happen in 6 months. It seems so far away but I know it will creep up. Just like Coldplay. Omfg, I’m seeing U2!!! :)
Well, today I’m just typing a paper and then laying out by the pool. Jenn and I were thinking of maybe going out tonight. We will probably just end up watching “The Holiday” eating kettle corn. I work tomorrow and Saturday. When I get out Saturday, I’m driving to Orlando for Easter. I get to eat chocolate! I will be eating Reese’s all day! I will probably stay until Monday during the day (even though I need to be back for a test at 3pm) because my shoes may come in on that day. If they come in on Tuesday, I’m driving to Orlando to pick them up. Haha.
We also had elections for IBB and now Jenn is on the board. Well, she wasn’t elected, we told her she is the new Director of Marketing. We need her. So we are taking her. Also got a new Director of Finance and Corporate Relations. Jamie (the Prez) is planning this meeting where we all tell the new directors their roles. Well, not me, I’m in the same role, so I just get to eat the catered Outback and Olive Garden. Haha.
Going to head to the pool. Did you see I changed somethings up on here? I posted a link to this blog on FB so thought I should make it look more organized? I don’t know. Shut up! :)
These are mine!
I will never be taking them off. Got them at a decent price, but check ‘em on eBay, they are going Buy It Now for $1,000. No thank you! Just gotta wait for them to come in.
Just don’t ask how much I paid. You will probably won’t talk to me anymore.
Because of my obsession with Kanye West, the next cover of RS was ruined for me (he posted on his blog a few minutes ago), so I am ruining it for you. Forgive me.
I am very excited for his new album, which is being released this summer. In the current issue of RS they touch about his album and how it is all instruments/rock. His new direction excites me because I don’t really hear any quality rock these days, and if Lil’ Wayne attacks it, he is going to change it up. This is what rock needs.
And while we are on the topic of things that are awesome, check this site out: iDaft. It is so cool. I haven’t tried it on my phone yet, but thats what its programmed for. You can just click on the button and it works on your computer.
I have been listen to Kid Cudi’s “A Kid Named Cudi” for 4 days straight. Some people don’t like Kid Cudi, but I think he is a fucking genius. This album is changing me. His lyrics. Beats. And maybe its the fact he is under Kanye’s label, but they did an amazing job. I have the .zip file of the album I can send you if you want to hear it. I want everyone to hear it. What I also love about the mix tape is that the songs overlap and connect. I really feel when an album is created like that, that’s what really makes it an album. An entire set of songs that you can listen to and you don’t want skip to the next song early because there is already a transition and you want to hear it. I have had this cd on repeat non-stop. It’s like one huge epic song. I love it. Haha. Did I sell it?
I got TwitPic working on my phone (finally!) so my tweets (cannot believe I just typed that) will be getting a lot more interesting!
So now I was asked “If you had to live in one location for the rest of your life, where would it be?”
I responded with “Florida” and I was serious. Maybe more south than where I am now, but I love Florida. The Carolinas come close because they have the beach and mountains. I wouldn’t want to live outside of the United States forever. Don’t care how much people think it sucks, America is the Best! Haha. Just kidding.
Short morning post before I get my day started. Have a good week.
I heard someone say “Hospitality is a dying art.” I agree. How often do we go out and are surprised when we have great service or an person goes out of the way for us? Quality guest service is rare and I think a company should put that second, after safety. So many things can go wrong but if a company recovers quickly and substantially, a person will remember and return and tell others. That’s basically how Disney survives. They push guest service like no one else. It’s in my blood now because I worked there for so long and it bothers me when others don’t understand. You can’t give out a product that looks like shit and you can’t interact with a guest like they are nobody. They are your guest. Treat them like they are. People don’t go out to eat just to eat, they want the experience. That’s what they are paying for. If you just give them the food, they won’t come back. And a company only runs if people come back. Why am I talking about this?
Sorry. Work has been stressful lately. Mainly because people don’t give a shit. And I don’t want them there if they don’t care. It only makes it worse. We run better if we have 3 people there that care, than if we have 7 who are counting down the hours until they leave. Yeah, we get paid shit, it isn’t always fun and sometimes we wish we could just walk out, but there is always some part of the day and something happens that makes you smiles and you’re happy where you are.
If I could have a dinner party with any 10 people (dead or alive):
1. Jesus
2. Hitler
3. Jerry Seinfeld
4. Kanye West
5. Jason Varitek
6. Tina Fey
7. Bill Cosby
8. My Dad
9. Sir Richard Branson
10. Bono
Maybe I should explain this more? This question came up at work because my manager likes to ask random things to find out more about us. Almost like a bad first date, but it happens everyday. So he asked what 10 people I would want at my dinner party. Now, I do think my Dad is awesome but that’s not why I would want him there. I would just want him to share the experience with me, so he is part of my 10. Also, I am not like “Go Hitler” I just think I would like to talk to him and see what Jesus would do to him. Everyone else I invited is basically because I find them entertaining and we would have hell of a time. I had to invite a girl, so I chose Tina Fey. She is hilarious and probably wouldn’t try to steal Kanye West from me. Haha. I have a feeling she would like Sir Richard Branson.
I made the list kind of quickly on my break. I hope I am not leaving anyone major out. I don’t think so. Anyways, I would like to hear who you would invite. You probably have an idea of people in your head who you think are awesome so just tell me!
I am heading to Arizona in less than 3 weeks now. One of the main things I am looking forward to is this sandwich they only have in Arizona at McDonald’s called a Hot-N-Spicy. I know, it is probably going to kick ass.
One last thing before I go to sleep, Air Yeezy’s sold on eBay this morning for $1,800. Unbelievable. So I don’t think I am getting a pair anytime soon. But I am getting a pair.
I really wish I wrote here more because I really like WordPress. They got their shit together and it looks good. So I guess that means I will try to update more often? Probably won’t happen.
Here is a gorgeous house…

So Twitter used to be cool. I really hate talking about Twitter just as much as I hate talking about the economy. But I think it used to be fun, like anything on the internet before it becomes widespread. Remember when MySpace was cool? Now it’s a desert. Now Facebook is an epidemic and it’s turning to shit with all its upgrades. Twitter is simple but something tells me they are going to add something to it to keep people interested or on the site for longer periods of time. They already have TwitPics. Twitter has been around for a long time. Years actually. I mean, why does it take this long for people to catch on? I remember reading about Twitter in a People magazine years about MK & Ashley using it. I thought it was a dumb idea but I still checked it out. And now? It is all over the news. Like its so amazing. Its nothing. Its status updates. But now everyone needs to have one. Every business is getting one. People using it recklessly. I mean, there aren’t set rules, but it is just micro-blogging. I can see it being used for good. Twitter is just annoying now. I just hate hearing about it everywhere. People need to get over it. I mean now Mayer and Aniston are blaming Twitter over their break-up, really?? Makes me want to leave the internet. People ruin everything! Haha… Alright. Done with that! What’s next? God, I hope its not WordPress.
Bang & Olufsen’s 103-inch $130,000 Plamsa
I could definitely used that in the future! Badass.
And these are pretty cool, since the Kindle is kinda large…
The Astak Mentor e-book comes in three sizes (5in, 6in or 9.7in) and its under $200. If Kindle doesn’t come out with a cheaper or color e-book soon, I may want something like this. There are a lot of other e-book besides Kindle that are going to be released and they will probably be a lot nicer. Like Plastic Logic. I like that one.
Okay! I’m done. This blog is embarrassing. Why am I such a nerd?
So I started (finally) decorating my Munny. If you go to kidrobot.com/munny there are so many amazing ones. Mine definitely won’t look like that. I am just trying not to make it look like shit. I will do little by little. I don’t know what to add next. Any ideas?
Kanye rocked SxSW. Ya’ll need to keep your eye on Kid Cudi, he is making good music. Check this “Day N’ Nite” (right click, save as)
And the new Black Eyed Peas is hot, “Boom Boom Pow” (right click, save as)
I have been finding a lot of good music lately. Rap is doing a lot better than Rock right now if you ask me. Pop is somewhere in the middle, closer to Rap’s status. Um, yeah.
U2 is on the cover of the new Rolling Stone. Did I ruin it for you? Bono looks like fucking Green Day. Ugh.
